Software Development Company located in the US with staff in Latin America and Europe is looking to hire a Director of Project Management. The right person must really understand the strategies involved to make sure that the product of the team is high quality; he/she is responsible for setting standards for the team’s training and preparation; he/she is able to determine what QA system/process is appropriate for what kind of projects; be able to trial different project management software packages and select the right ones. This person will be the head of Production, at the top of the team of developers and project managers; he/she has to be able to get the “big picture” and make appropriate strategic decisions. We expect this person to come up with fresh new ideas to help improve our process, tell us which team members should be moved to different positions and drive the team to meet deadlines, get things done and improve quality. He/she will also be involved in hiring decisions for programmers. The ideal candidate must have: - 5-10 years of experience in web applications (multi project experience). Background in programming, especially with PHP (desirable). Very Strong English skills. Great communication skills. Excellent judgment. Lots of experience managing teams. Client handling experience. Organized, detailed oriented, meticulous. Highly professional.
